Having the ores turned to dust, the two have to figure out how to make the dust of the minerals usable again.
Another village member, the blacksmith helped the two solve this problem. By continuesly dropping a heavy weight into the dust they had been able to turn it into a compact and usable form of metal. Later on, they called the machine "compressor"
